Signature Golf Course
Designed by the King, Arnold Palmer
This 18-hole, par-72 championship course was designed by Arnold Palmer. It spans over 220 pristine acres and sits on the tip of Peninsula Papagayo, nestled in the mountainside along the Pacific Ocean. A must-do activity for any golf enthusiast, the Arnold Palmer Signature Course was ranked among the “Top 100 Courses Outside the United States” by Golf Digest, offering both a challenge and scenic views to enjoy throughout. The course has tee boxes high above the lush forests, overlooking fairways undulating across beautiful valley floors and then back up to perfectly manicured greens.
Peninsula Papagayo Clubhouse
Never-Ending Greens
Whether you’re at the course at the crack of dawn, starting at midday, or making it to a twilight round, you’ll be able to enjoy beautiful views at the clubhouse overlooking Culebra Bay. The clubhouse was designed by renowned architect Ronald Zürcher as an elaborate ode to a conch shell. Managed by Four Seasons, the 28,000-square-foot facility includes the popular Caracol restaurant and bar, a private members-only lounge, pro shop, and men and women’s locker areas.

Just outside, four clay tennis courts and one regulation grass court are reserved for hotel guests and residents. The pro shop is open daily from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, offering an assortment of high-end men’s and women’s golf and tennis apparel, hats, and gear. Special occasion gifts, merchandise, lessons, and playing certificates are also available.
PGA titan Arnold Palmer used the natural advantages of the terrain to create a truly singular golf experience entirely surrounded by verdant natural beauty. Any day on the course is a good one, but a day on this course is a great one!

“We were honored to have been chosen to design the first golf course at Peninsula Papagayo. We were given an excellent piece of property, a lush tropical landscape, exciting elevation changes and 360-degree ocean views on many holes. The course is not only beautiful but a fair test of golf.”
